Management Committee
NetIKX is run by a Management Committee of people with experience in information and knowledge management, ICT, Human Resources and in business management. Members of the committee are unpaid, giving their time voluntarily.
From 2007 the management committee was elected and any NetIKX member may be nominated to stand for election.
NetiKX needs new committee members to help with our plans for the coming year and beyond. As you can see, we have a number of vacancies on the Committee, for Vice Chair, web manager and someone to help with meetings. If you think you might be interested, contact the Chair, Suzanne Burge, for a chat before 7 September, or come along to the AGM.

Suzanne Burge
Suzanne Burge spent over thirty years working for a range of government departments, setting up and running libraries and information services, websites and intranets, and acted as intranet consultant to the House of Commons Library. Lately she has been working in the charity sector, for the Family and Parenting Institute and the Fostering Network.
She has had a long involvement with CILIP (and the Library Association) and served on the Working Group which brought about the LA’s unification with the Institute of Information Scientists. She was a founder-member and long-time chair of the Government Libraries and Information Group. She has a keen interest in all information and knowledge-related matters, and the new challenges and opportunities the profession continues to offer.
Jane Jennings
Jane Jennings started working for Essex libraries as a junior library assistant in 1966. In the 1970s she thought it was time to think about qualifying and, when her children started school, left work to read history at Essex University. After gaining her degree she took her PGdip lib at the Polytechnic of North London. From here she was appointed to her first qualified post at Suffolk College.
Jane's next post was again with Essex County Council but this time she was appointed to set up a library for the education department. Jane still works for Essex but now has the role of Knowledge Management Co-ordinator. She has recently completed an MSc in Information and Knowledge Management which she thoroughly enjoyed and has found to be very useful in her work.

Mark James
Mark James is currently an internal Knowledge Management consultant working for the Department for Work and Pensions. Mark's specialises in Organisational Development work focussed on Human Resources related aspects of KM, as well as on knowledge sharing. Mark holds qualifications in Management Consultancy, Psychometrics and Coaching and well as being a Chartered member of CILIP. Mark has been a Mancom members of for over three years.
